About
My practice as a painter and printmaker is an ongoing exploration of narrative storytelling, centered on the quiet rhythms of the everyday. Rooted in South London and informed by a long career in art education, my work observes the subtle transitions, fleeting interactions, and inherent fragility that define the human condition.
Working out of Bainbridge Print Studio, I draw upon the rich traditions and technical versatility of printmaking—moving fluidly across relief, intaglio, screenprint, and monoprint, often combining these processes with painterly mark-making. The tactile, indirect nature of printmaking mirrors the themes of memory and impermanence in my work; the etching of a plate or the layering of ink becomes a metaphor for the impressions left by daily encounters and the passage of time. My formal training, culminating in an MA in Fine Art Printmaking from Camberwell College of Arts, provided a deep grounding in print chemistry and technique, which I continually push to serve a more intuitive, painterly narrative.
